Balbir is a Personal Development and Communication Specialist that includes Soft Skills, Leadership and Management Training as well as a Mentoring, Performance and Life Coaching.
She believes, and is living proof, that no matter what your background, when your WHY is big enough, the HOW will show up. You just need to be determined enough to have the discipline to do what it takes to achieve your aspirations.
She passionately believes in self-development and leadership as the route to personal and professional success and that individuals need different tools and techniques depending on where they are in life and therefore has an eclectic approach.
She has appeared on BBC Asian current affairs programme about the cultural impact of being a divorced woman, presented at NLP Conferences, written relationship articles for NLP magazines, been quoted as an expert in Psychologies Magazine, and been a resident life coach and contributor to BBC Radio Gloucestershire.
She is a specialist in Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (CPTSD), phobias, anxiety, grief counselling and ran a support group for those affected by suicide for the charity SOBS (Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide). She was the first Chair of International Women of Chesham group and was Trustee of a Charitable Trust delivering low cost therapy to the community in Berkshire, UK.
Balbir is an intuitive empath and has a varied coaching and training background spanning over 20 years. At her private coaching practice in Harley Street, London she worked with, but not exclusively, corporate professionals, entrepreneurs, solicitors, athletes, women returners, under graduates, academy students, teachers.
Balbir qualified as a trainer of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) with the co-founder, John Grinder and achieved her Motivational Interviewing Practitioner with the co-founders, Miller and Rollnick. She was one of the first in the UK to qualify as an accredited coach with the Coaching Academy. Wanting to understand the connection between the conscious and unconscious minds she achieved a Diploma in Advanced Hypnotherapy allowing her to facilitate those wishing to lose weight or stop smoking. She encompasses Emotional Intelligence and Appreciative Inquiry in her work having assisted colleagues on such trainings. As a yoga instructor she draws on the importance of mindfulness, meditation and breath work in personal empowerment.
Balbir enjoys walking in nature, yoga, dancing, African and Shamanic drumming. Born into the Sikh faith – she was destined to be a life-long ‘seeker.’
